Hermitage Foundation UK Board Meeting

On 1 December 2020, there was a meeting of the Hermitage Foundation UK’s board of directors.

Mikhail Piotrovsky gave a summary of the life and work of the State Hermitage museum, and Guy Vesey, Executive Director of the Foundation, reported on its financial situation and achievements in creating digital content for the Foundation’s website.

Prof. Piotrovsky congratulated the Hermitage Foundation UK team on their recent online campaigns and stressed the importance of this project to the museum.

At the board meeting, the decision was taken to start work in support of the organization of a major exhibition of David Hockney’s works in the State Hermitage in 2022 and the presentation of one of James Turrell’s projections on the façade of the Winter Palace. It was reported that the translation of five of the State Hermitage’s catalogues into English is progressing well with 15th- to 17th-century French Paintings and 18th- to 20th-century French Paintings set to be published in 2021.
