  • "The State Hermitage Museum is much more than a great collection exhibited in illustrious spaces rich with history. It is a world class scientific and educational center allowing us to understand and appreciate the past, and reflect and preserve the spirit of today. By supporting the Hermitage, you provide access to the greatest works of art from different times and places to the future generations."
    Dean Gilfillan
General Manager of JTI Russia, Member of the Board of Trustees of the State Hermitage Museum
  • "I want my daughters, the children of my employees, and their children after them to discover the Hermitage in the same way as I did in my time. Therefore, as the president of the company, I consider the support of museum activities to the best of our knowledge, competencies, technologies and capabilities to be one of the basic goals that a progressive Russian company should set itself."
    Sergei Vasilyevich Balandyuk
    President of ELAR Corporation
  • "The State Hermitage occupies a special place in the history of power engineering in St. Petersburg. The Winter Palace became the first building in Russia to be lit by electric bulbs. Who knows, maybe if the Winter Palace had not been so open to progressive technological approaches, electricity would not have come to St. Petersburg homes until much later.
Our joint project to modernize the lighting of the museum halls is the contribution of the company and each of TGC-1's employees to preserving the priceless treasures for future generations."
    Alexei Vitalyevich Barvinok
Director General and Chairman of the Board of the regional power company TGC-1
  • "I am proud that for almost twenty years now Baker & McKenzie has been an official legal consultant to the State Hermitage and a member of its Friends Club. For me, this is a very personal project. The Hermitage is not just a museum, in whose halls I, like every St. Petersburg child, learned to love and understand art. The Hermitage is not just Russia’s most significant museum complex, of which every resident of our city is proud. The Hermitage, in my understanding, is a center of world culture, in which the spirit of international understanding and cooperation reigns.
This approach is dear to me and to my company. Baker & McKenzie is a global company that has been working in St. Petersburg for many years and is actively involved in the public life of the city. I believe that the support of socially significant projects is the duty of every successful business, and participation in the Hermitage’s projects is our great privilege."
    Maxim Kalinin
Managing Partner, Baker & McKenzie, St. Petersburg

Any commercial or non-commercial organization which has made a contribution to the museum’s development can become a corporate member of the International Hermitage Friends’ Club. A donation may take various forms, including a monetary donation, materials or equipment that the museum needs, or gifts of new exhibits to expand the museum’s collection.

On the basis of civil law contracts (sponsorship agreements, donations, charitable contributions, etc.), the museum and corporate members of the Hermitage Friends’ Club carry out socially significant programmes and projects in keeping with the State Hermitage’s fields of activity.

The State Hermitage is constantly seeking new forms of interaction with partners and implements a wide variety of joint projects, taking into account the specific activities and interests of each participant.
