Published 12 November 2021

Anyone over the age of 18 wishing to visit any of the museum's displays or events must present a QR code or other documents governing visits to museums during the period of measures to counter the spread of the coronavirus infection.

To be allowed into the museum, visitors over 18 years of age must produce one of the following:

  •   a QR code confirming they have been vaccinated
  •   a QR code confirming they have recovered from a coronavirus infection
  •   a document confirming medical contraindications for vaccination (to be presented together with a negative PCR test)

Non-citizens of the Russian Federation need to present a document confirming vaccination issued by a medical organization with the appropriate authority.

Visitors under the age of 18 do not need to present a QR code. Children under the age of 12 can only visit the museum if accompanied by an adult.

We request all concerned to take the new rules and restrictions into account when planning a visit to the museum. We recommend arriving at the museum entrance at least 15 minutes before the start of the time slot for your visit, the beginning of a lecture or other event. In order to speed up the checking process, please print out your QR code in advance, have it ready in the picture gallery of your smartphone or open/download it through special apps.

Full information about the new rules for visitors and changes to the museum’s opening hours and operations can be found on a special page of the website.
