Information for the Hermitage Friends' Club Members

We are glad to inform you that starting from November 3, 2020 the State Hermitage Museum is making changes to the working hours of the Main Museum Complex and the General Staff building.

With the start of the winter period and reduced daylight time, the museum will open an hour earlier – the first time slot for visitors will begin at 11.00 am. The museum’s closing time will also be changing, but on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays its opening hours will be extended.

New opening hours:

                    Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 11.00 am and 7.00 pm (last admission at 5.00 pm)

                  Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11.00 am to 8.00 pm (last admission at 6.00 pm)

Admissions every half hour, with sanitary break from 15.00 to 16.00.

The Hermitage Friends retain an exclusive privilege of entering the museum through the Komendatsky Entrance to the Winter Palace. Visits are possible by advance appointment (at least one day notice) at hermitage.friends@hermitage.ru or by phone: +7 812 710 90 05 (Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 18.00).

Friends can visit the museum using the Fixed Route #1 (starting in the direction of the Jordan Staircase), and also switch to the Fixed Route #2 (starting in the direction of the Church Staircase) in the Eastern corridor of the Winter Palace, upon presenting the Friends’ card to the Hermitage staff.

Visiting The Winter Palace of Peter the Great, the Menshikov Palace, the Museum of the Imperial Porcelain Factory and the Staraya Derevnya Restoration and Storage Center for the Friends is only possible on the general basis, upon purchasing a ticket at full cost on the museum website https://tickets.hermitagemuseum.org/en. Tickets can only be purchased online for certain time slots and fixed routes. Visiting the Gold Room for the Friends is also possible only through purchasing a ticket at full cost on the museum website.
