ONLINE ACTIVITIES

Published 02 April 2020

Dear Friends,

We sincerely hope that you and your families are healthy and stay safe at your homes. Thank you for staying with us, and for your unwavering support of the museum.

In these difficult times we would like to update you on the Hermitage activities online which you can follow in English (and other languages) while we all are staying in cultured isolation:

- A new web-camera has been set up on the Eastern Wing of the General Staff building, part of the State Hermitage, that will be showing Palace Square and the Winter Palace online 24/7. Another camera was also installed in the State Hermitage’s Majolica Hall, known as well as the Raphael Hall.

- We regularly organize online tours of the museum premises.

Thus, on 26 March, 2020 we organized an online broadcast of the Hermitage tour in Italian, record of which is available here: The Hermitage Online broadcast in Italian

Here is the schedule of further live broadcasts:

For those who are in for a more meditative approach, we strongly suggest watching the film The Hermitage Shot on an iPhone 11 Pro – it is an unhurried thoughtful stroll around the museum lasting over five hours.

Stay safe and healthy!
